Job Description :: Content Manager Job Summary The Content Manager writes, edits and sources content in the form or articles, blog entries, social media promotions, and press releases for internal publishing products and client accounts. This position works closely with a team of art directors and product/account managers to develop new and improve existing marketing materials, and coordinates a yearly content development calendar by managing a pool of writers/content resources.
Reports to: President
Responsibilities + Procures all content for in-house publications and client projects in online and traditional mediums. + Sources + manages writers and content providers. + Holds responsibility for editing and proofing all copy. + Considers search marketing implications of all online copy. + Writes for internal and client marketing efforts. + Helps plan and execute on internal and client marketing and public relations plans.
Skills + Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Communication, English Literature, Journalism, Creative Writing, Marketing or related field. + Proficiency with personal computer business applications. + Professional experience in writing for public consumption. + Experience in establishing and enforcing style and standards. + Good working knowledge of interactive and traditional marketing. + Good working knowledge of search marketing and web site usability principles. + Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to be deadline oriented. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work well in fast-paced team environments. + Ability to short term multi-task and manage multiple long term projects. + An assertive professional character with the ability to research, ask questions and find answers. + Ability to be an accountable problem solver. + Professional and personable workplace demeanor. + Experience with online content management systems a plus. email us |
