Tarboro Mayor and Council were given a preview Monday night of the new town Web site.  Latham Jenkins, a Tarboro native whose Circumerro Media was hired in April to redesign the site did the honors.

He showed a more efficient site with some video, new photographs, expanded style content and search engine friendly architecture.  “We’ve established a new marketing platform,” Jenkins said.  Jenkins pointed out that the site could be updated by the town staff.  Council and staff are to review the site this week, make recommendations and it should be ready to launch later this month.

MAYOR AND Council will get a preview of the town’s new Web site Monday night during its monthly meeting.  Latham Jenkins, president of Circumerro Media of Jackson Hole, Wyo., was hired in April to redesign the Web site.  His work will be reviewed by Council members and staff next week, recommended changes will be made and the site launched by the end of August, as planned.

“We are excited to present our work on Monday night to Town council and staff, ” Jenkins said.  “The town’s residents have been so supportive through this processs of building the site’s content and I am grateful.  I believe the site represents the town for all it’s great qualities it offers and it will be a real marketing asset for the community.  As a community marketer, I applaud Council and staff for their forward thinking”.

Jenkins shot 10 hours of video that has been boiled down into four three-minute segments. Tarboro’s Dee Harper wrote the copy; Tarboro’s Bill Goode took some photos.  “We think we have a good site that speaks to any newcomers considering moving to Tarboro,” Jenkins said.  “We want to reach out to them.”

Bank of Jackson Hole Campaign Update

The Bank of Jackson Hole Campaign is underway and getting noticed with the following comment that came in the other day:

“As a Communication/Public Relations Major from my old college days – I could not help but send all of you an email to let you know how incredibly brilliant I think your new ad campaign is.  It is not often I find an ad in our local paper that is worthy of attention and my time to read.  Bravo to your marketing team for their creativity and local appeal.  The ads are a homerun. ”

Thanks for the feedback, Christina. We appreciate it, but can’t take all the credit as the Bank of Jackson Hole clients and customers for the ads have been overflowing with positive experiences to share. More ads to come.

Tarboro, A Great Place to Visit, Retire or Relocate

We are launching for our client, the Town of Tarboro, NC, a new web site this month featuring four new videos.  Overview of Tarboro, Living in Tarboro, History of Tarboro and Doing Business in Tarboro.  The videos are meant to take the more traditional static approach to Web publishing into one that is authentic, with Tarboro locals telling their story about their town.

Climbing the King

Taking advantage of a choice summer afternoon, the Circumerro gang ducked out of the office for an hour to scale the mighty Snow King Resort, fondly referred to by locals as “the king”. Although the Friday fresh air was incentive enough, the office signed on to make their lunch hour count and Climb the King in support of the Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center.

The crew has been hard at work on an new positioning for the Bank of Jackson Hole. Over the coming months we will be launching a series of ads messaging local ownership, local decision making, reinvestment in the community, and a focus on personal relationships. The tagline “We answer to no one but you” was chosen after a concepting phase in which we pursued several tagline and ad campaign combinations. The client and team on the job, including designers, writers and photographers, has a great direction to work with, and is committed to telling the real Bank of Jackson Hole story for quite some time!

Here’s the first ad (featuring Bank client and local developer Dave NeVille) along with a behind the scenes look at the photoshoot with Flo McCall.

Launch of the new Lowcountry Real Estate Site

Circumerro Media recently launched a new web site for our client, Lowcountry Real Estate in Beaufort, South Carolina.  The site features a very user and search friendly interface.  This enables the Web site to continue building on its search engine rankings and assures users can easily see the properties for sale.

“One of the compelling features of the site experience is the home page video integration, helping to personalize the message,” says Latham Jenkins, president of Circumerro.

“Even with the slow down in the real estate market, we were able to deliver a quality site experience for Lowcountry Real Estate with a reduced budget,” says Jenkins.

’I think Tarboro has a lot to offer,’ he said. ’I don’t want anyone to consider living here and not know its story.’

Jenkins, a Tarboro native, has the contract to redesign the Town of Tarboro’s Web site. The current site (http://www.tarboro-nc.com) was developed about five years ago.

Jenkins has hired Tarboro’s Dee Harper to write copy and Bill Goode to take some photographs. Jenkins is shooting video himself, interviewing people around town.

’I’ve had great progress working with the community at large,’ he said. ’This is a project built for Tarboro by the people of Tarboro. I’m using the local talent to tell the story of Tarboro.’

Jenkins, 38, left town 15 years ago for a summer job out west and ’really haven’t gotten back yet,’ he said.

He founded Circumerro Media in Jackson Hole, Wyo., where he worked as a river guide during the summer while attending Appalachian State University in Boone. Circumerro has been successful and has offices in South Carolina, also.

Town Councilman Steve Hoard recommended Circumerro because of the outstanding job Jenkins and his crew did for Kanban, the Tarboro logistic outfit Hoard helped found.

Circumerro specializes in Web design, publishing, branding and working with real estate firms to help Realtors tell the story of their communities.

Council selected Circumerro at the April 14 meeting. Jenkins, the son of Councilman John Jenkins, has a contract not to exceed $44,800.

’This came at a perfect time for us,’ said Latham Jenkins, ’and it’s a great way to reconnect. In fact, it’s been challenging because I see so many people on the street, and I have to stop what I’m doing.’

The 15 hours of tape will be sent back to Jackson Hole for an early review while Jenkins take some time off this week to visit the beach. He plans to return next week and continue filming.

’Video is essential,’ he said. ’The average attention span is about two and a half minutes. We’ve got to boil the message down.’

Jenkins plans to make a presentation to Town Council at its Aug. 18 meeting.

’We will make adjustments based of their feedback,’ he said. ’The site should be up by the end of that month if not sooner.’
